• 2012-01-04 51st Fighter Wing Rings in the new year!

  After some well deserved time off with their families, the pilots of the virtual 51st Fighter Wing are back at work. The season saw the addition of few new recruits and the C.O. adding a new member to his family! Congrats Dart!

  Our resident mission builder/masterful movie creator has been hard at work on his new campaign, Operation Northern Plunder. For more info and download links check the DCS: A-10 message boards!

  We have also transitioned to TARS! The realism and immersion have been ratcheted up with multiple assets supporting multiple objectives on multiple frequencies!

  After the break, pilots are back to training. From the basics, full ILS approaches, emergency procedures, to division and section tactics against various target types in varying threat environments. Ours pilots are keeping sharp for whatever Ranger79 has in store for his next incarnation of Operation Northern Plunder!

• 2011-09-29 What is in a name?

  Shakespeare would have us all wondering: “What is in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet.” What Total Bunk! A name really means something, it tells you some thing about the thing or person carrying it. As virtual fighter pilots we all carry a “call sign.” Some inspire pride and some remind us of events we wish we could forget. Some even celebrate pivotal moments in our virtual aviation careers. And although most of the time our “Call Signs” may border on the obvious there is usually a really good story to tell about each and everyone. Well here is you chance! • 2011-09-24 51st Fighter Wing Announces New Training Program

  The 51st Fighter Wing announces a new training program is in development. The program is being designed to push the limits of seasoned veterans and provide a solid foundation for raw recruits. A staged approach is nearing completion that will bring all pilots within the wing to operating proficiency in all areas the A-10 can be called into action. Standby for further details.

• 2011-09-15 51st Fighter Wing Trains in the F-16!

  The virtual 51st Fighter Wing is pleased to announce training has begun in the F-16! Thanks to Benchmark Sims' huge reworking of the legendary Falcon 4.0 the 51st is now flying both aircraft currently operational with the real 51st Fighter Wing stationed at Osan, the A-10 and the F-16!
